Culver’s Reunion on Ice | Musings of a Nashville Event Photographer
Back at the end of January, Nashville was hit was a crazy winter storm. It was really harsh on most of the city with power outages, and dangerous travel. Meanwhile, Gaylord Opryland Resort just kept buzzing along with (mostly) business as usual.
I was shooting a 3 day event, the Culver’s Reunion 2026 conference. I still don’t understand how 4-5,000 people made it safely to Nashville, but they did! It was a conference for managers and workers at Culver’s restaurants. These were just some really wholesome and kind people to be around during such a chaotic week outside the Opryland bubble.
People who work in service and hospitality, and take that job seriously, are pretty amazing humans. I learned a lot just from watching them interact with each other and especially how they interacted with the Opryland staff. I have never seen conference attendees treat the conference hospitality staff with such respect and empathy, it was beautiful.
I hope I get the chance to work with these amazing people again. Here are some of my photos from those beautiful 3 days inside the Opry bubble…
